Cibiana is known as the Land of Murals.
are not just works of art on the walls: they are a symbol of the living memory of the village, telling the stories, crafts, legends and soul of this Alpine community. Established in the 1980s to enhance cultural heritage and counter depopulation, this initiative has grown over time to become an identity element of the area, with more than 60 works painted by Italian and international artists.
The celebration is usually concentrated between late July and early August, a time when art activities are enriched with themed events, guided tours and events related to the murals.
During the Mural Festival and related events you can expect:
Walks and guided tours among the murals in the village, where local guides tell the meaning of the works, the characters depicted and the stories each mural holds. These visits may also include discovering local museums such as the Iron Museum or one dedicated to Alpine culture.
“Living Murals”: events where, in addition to admiring the art, you can watch live performances, interpretations or re-enactments inspired by the painted scenes.
Food and wine and musical activities that accompany the festival, often supplemented with moments of conviviality, typical products and traditional music (organized by the Pro Loco and village associations).

“Museum in the Clouds”
Messner Mountain Museum (MMM Dolomites): Located on the summit of Mount Rite (2,183 m), the “Museum in the Clouds” is housed in a former Great War fort and offers a 360-degree panoramic view of the Dolomites.

PAOLO ROSSA Educational and Farming Company
Suspended between nature and tradition, Paolo Rossa’s farm is an unmissable stop along the Via delle Dolomiti, just above the bike path. Here you can meet donkeys, bees, pigs and chickens and discover the only production of donkey milk in the province of Belluno, a rare and precious product.
The farm is also an Educational Farm, ideal for families, groups and farming enthusiasts: you can observe the animals up close, learn about Paolo’s work and taste cheeses and products with a unique taste.
